Q: Does the app require an internet connection?
A: No. All poem content, translations, and music are bundled with the app and work fully offline.
Q: Does the app include English translations?
A: Yes. Every poem includes the original Chinese text, a modern Chinese paraphrase (译文), and a full English translation — for the title, author, dynasty, and the poem itself. This makes the app useful both for Chinese speakers refreshing their memory and for English-speaking learners discovering Chinese poetry for the first time.
Q: What is the background music in the app?
A: The app plays traditional Chinese instrumental music in the background (guqin, guzheng, erhu, and other classical pieces). A track plays automatically when you open the app, and you can pick a specific piece from the music tab at any time.
Q: How are the quiz questions generated?
A: Each quiz session randomly draws 10 questions from a pool, and the questions themselves are dynamically generated from the poem content — so the question set varies each time.
Q: Who is the app for?
A: Anyone interested in classical Chinese poetry — students preparing for school exams (elementary through high school, based on China's national curriculum), adults who want to revisit poems they learned long ago, and English speakers learning Chinese language and culture.
Q: What content does the app cover?
A: The app currently includes 208 required poems and classical texts spanning elementary, middle, and high school (小学/初中/高中) curriculum levels, each with full bilingual content as described above.
